Clean Energy Buyers Association Spring Summit

Dana Redden with Gilbert Campbell, Lacey Shaver, and Cheryl D. C., among other CEBA members and attendees.

Dana Redden spoke at the Clean Energy Buyers Association (CEBA) Summit. The theme for the summit was “Raising the Bar: Shaping a New Industry Standard for Purpose-Driven Energy Projects.” Redden presented to CEBA attendees about the mission and status of the Steering committee.

The committee is focused on helping The Nature Conservancy (TNC) and Clean Energy Buyers Institute (CEBI), which are collaborating to develop a voluntary market standard for renewable energy projects in the U.S. This standard aims to ensure social, environmental, and economic benefits while supporting the rapid expansion of renewables by 2030. By partnering with corporate buyers, the initiative seeks to create a demand for projects that deliver critical social and environmental benefits, thus enhancing both the business bottom line and commitments to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals. The standard will facilitate effective communication between buyers and developers, embed consistent social and environmental outcomes into renewable energy projects, and accelerate transactions by increasing transparency and accountability. TNC and CEBI are raising $2 million to support this initiative over three years, engaging a diverse steering committee and advisory committee to guide the process. This effort aims to build public trust in renewable energy, reduce permitting delays, and ensure an equitable energy transition in the U.S.
