E2 Presents: Georgia Clean Economy Summit

Dana Clare Redden (far left) listens as Carrie Horrocks (Radiance Solar) speaks on building upon current successes in the GA clean energy economy

As Georgia becomes a hub for the clean energy transition, innovative projects and ideas for future renewable energy growth have taken the state by storm. Emboldened by the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), prospective projects and collaborations create significant economic potential for increases in jobs and revenue within the energy sector. Georgia’s growing clean energy economy is also indicative of potential opportunities for equitable energy transition.

During E2’s Georgia Clean Economy Summit, Solar Stewards participated in the Panel Discussion of Growing the Clean Economy: Building Off Success. Solar Steward’s founder, Dana Clare Redden, discussed the importance of small businesses to create and sustain economic growth. Within the panel, Solar Stewards’ discussion of justice and inclusion within the future workforce and energy sector as a whole illustrates the importance of an equitable energy transition to fellow business leaders and policy experts in attendance at the E2 Summit.

Joined by Representatives from Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Solar Stewards and the rest of the panel explored the future implications of energy growth as well as political obstacles to the green energy revolution.
